Jacks & Leveling
The sheer joy of RV travel - the freedom and adventure that comes with exploring America's back roads and small towns - is why so many people rent or own RVs, trailers and campers. There is no other experience that measures up to it - none.
And yet, RV travel can become difficult if you fail to prepare for everything you will encounter when you "hit the road." Consider, for example, the fact that the terrain where you will park your RV in a trailer park or campsite is unlikely to be perfectly flat.
You have to prepare for that so that when you park your RV for the night, it will be perfectly level... and you will be completely comfortable.
The best way to prepare is to equip your RV with a leveling jack or stabilizer system. There are many different kinds available, most are modestly-priced and all are surprisingly simple to install. Here are just a few of the best available systems...
· Hydraulic Jack System is generally factory-installed and comes with easy-to-follow instructions. Importantly, you don't have to be skilled with your hands to get it operational and keep your RV from being lopsided.
· Scissor Jacks and Telescoping Jacks are generally electrically-powered and best-suited for use in colder weather. They are compact and easy-to-store in your RV (an important consideration) and they are easy to install, as well.
